The Lega Basket Serie A, known in English as the Serie A Basketball League, is officially abbreviated to LBA, and known as the Serie A PosteMobile for sponsorship reasons. It is a professional men’s club basketball league that was first organised in that country in 1920, and it is made up of the first and highest-tier of the league pyramid in Italy. Lets take a look at the top five teams in the LBA.

This team is currently known as Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari because of its sponsor, and is based in Sassari, in Sardinia. The team features athletes who are well known for their impressive on court performance and their ball skills.

The Aquila Basket Trento team is known, for sponsorship reasons, as Dolomiti Energia Trento, and has its base in Trent, Trentino, Italy. The team was founded as recently as 1995 as a merger of two local clubs, and it has managed to go from the amateur division to the first division of the LBA in less than ten years. It plays in Italy’s LBA as of the 2016/2017 season.

This team’s colours are red and white, and they are sometimes referred as Scarpette Rosse, which means Little Red Shoes, thanks to the imported red Converse All-Star shoes the players don for the games.
